Coyote Clay & Color Founder Martin Butt Visits Bailey

Coyote Clay & Color founder Martin Butt paid a recent visit to Bailey Pottery to give us a preview of some of Coyote's new and exciting glazes! Coyote is expanding their Texas Two-Step and Frank's Colored Celadons lines. These glazes will be hitting our shelves in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled!

Martin was also kind enough to share more about Coyote's history in a brief interview with Jim Bailey.

New Coyote Glazes Coming Soon!

Texas Rose over Fern

Clementine over Mulberry

Sea Mist over Persimmon

Texas Two Step oilspot glazes work in combination to create dramatic effects. Individually, they behave similarly to the Gloss Glazes, but they are divided into Undercoats and Overcoats. Layering Overcoats and Undercoats together creates oilspots that are unlike anything else available today!

New Texas Two Step Undercoats:

Fern MBG-143

Mulberry MBG-144

Persimmon MBG-145

New Texas Two Step Overcoat:

Clementine MBG-155

Frank's Colored Celadon Glazes are translucent glazes that are great over brushwork, texture and colored clays. These glazes are user friendly, pooling without being overly runny. They are also particularly nice over porcelain or smooth white clay.

New Frank's Colored Celadons:

Iris MBG-111

Jade MBG-112

Pomegranate MBG-113

Sky MBG-114

Tangerine MBG-115

Midnight Rain MBG-116

In addition to the Frank's Celadons and Texas Two-Step lines, Coyote offers a wide range of fabulous mid-range glazes available in both dry mix for dipping and wet glaze for brushing. The vibrant colors and unique finishes make Coyote glazes a favorite among our customers!
