The Bailey Heated Drying Cabinet accelerates the drying time for pottery pieces so students can be more productive with limited classroom time. Drying cabinets help to ensure that work is properly dried before bisquing. The cabinets are thermostatically controlled to provide a temperature range between 111F and 116F to safely accelerate drying. This is suitable for greenware as well as plaster molds.
Damp cabinets are designed to keep your works in progress in moist workable condition. Drying Cabinets are designed to store and protect clay projects during the drying period.
Spray Booths are essential if you want to spray glaze indoors. Glaze booths require an appropriate filter and exhaust fan to remove fine particles of glaze from the air. Fine glaze mist can be detrimental to your health when inhaled. Ventilation is of utmost importance. Always wear a respirator to avoid breathing any airborne particles.
Working with clay creates dust. It is important to be responsible for managing your exposure to dust in the studio. Air Cleaning Systems serve a vital function by constantly cleaning the air that you breathe. Airborne dust is an avoidable part of working in clay.
Slip Mixers are specifically designed for mixing clay slip from dry powder and reclaiming scrap clay. Slip Pumps are designed to agitate and condition the slip and pump it into molds.
Sink Traps provide you with an economical plumbing trap that is easily installed and maintained to keep clay from entering your plumbing.
Ceramic Dust Vacuums should be in every ceramic studio or classroom. Sweeping, or the use of a standard style "shop" vacuum, will put the harmful dust right back into the air you breathe! Once airborne, ultra fine dusts can stay suspended in the air for several days before settling. Ceramic Dust Vacuums are designed specifically to remove the dangerous sub-micron particles that are so harmful to your health
A ball mill is a type of grinder used to grind or even blend raw materials & glazes into a finer powder/slurry. Ball Mills are a studio essential if you make terra sigillata regularly.
