Packing Materials

Our new peanuts are GREEN and they are…

  1. 100% recycled polystyrene that is biodegradable.
  2. Bio degrade in 9 – 60 months in the presence of microorganisms.
  3. Can be recycled and reused. 

Shipping

Most orders under 100 lbs will be shipped UPS. Due to the variety of sizes and weights of products, many items cannot be combined into one box and must ship as individual units. It is not possible to accurately calculate shipping charges based on item weights only.

Please note: Occasionally we come across orders placed on line in which questions may arise. If we have attempted to contact you 3 times via the phone number or e-mail address you provided with no response, after two weeks we will assume you do not want us to process the order. Bailey Pottery reserves the right to cancel the order at this point. 

Shelf Packing 

Please Note: Packing and Shipping charges apply to all shelf orders.
These charges do not appear automatically in your Shopping Cart but are calculated after your order is received and reviewed to determine what shipping method best suits the size and quantity of shelves you have ordered. You will receive a copy of your order showing these additional charges for your review. You will be required to approve the charges before the order will be processed and charged. 

Some smaller size shelves in small quantities can be shipped via UPS. Larger shelves and quantities must be shipped by Freight.

For UPS Shipments:
Limit of 2-3 shelves per box.  Maximum of 3 boxes per order.
 $20.00 Packing per box.
 UPS shipping charges are additional.
 *Note: shelves require significant amounts of packing materials and the boxes used are considered ‘oversized’ by UPS and are charged based on dimensional weight.

For Freight Shipments:
A crating charge is added to all shelf orders shipping by freight based on 10% of the dollar amount of the shelves with a minimum charge of $20.00 and a maximum of $50.00.
Freight charges are additional. Call (800) 431-6067 for a rate.


Damaged Goods

If your order was damaged by UPS or by Common Carrier, please call us immediately. No claims of any kind will be recognized unless made within 10 days after receipt of goods. Do not continue to unpack the items if you notice damage. Retain all damaged items and packing materials until your claim is settled. Please see Freight Receiving instructions below for specifics on damaged freight deliveries. 


Freight Receiving Instructions

Please carefully review these receiving instructions:
 
Once your delivery has been picked up by the freight company, you will receive an email from us with tracking information. Recipient is responsible for coordinating the receipt date with the freight carrier. Recipient must be on site when the equipment is being delivered. Recipient is solely responsible for placement, uncrating and installation of all materials and equipment; the truck driver does not assist with this in any way.
 
When the freight carrier arrives, it is important that you carefully inspect the shipment for visible damages. All damages must be noted on the carrier's receiving slip & initialed by the driver before they leave. If there is visual damage to the outside of the package, you should open the shipment before accepting it. Quickly inspect the inside & notate "damaged upon further inspection" on the carrier's receiving slip. Be sure to take photos as we will need them if any damage is found upon completely unpacking the shipment. 
 
If you find severe damage to the shipment that will prevent use if the equipment and you can not make the repair, mark the carrier's receiving slip "refused as a result of damages."
 
Claims will not be honored by the freight carrier or Bailey Pottery unless proper notation is made. Notify both the freight terminal & Bailey Pottery immediately if there is any damage to your shipment. Take photos of the damage & retain all packing materials until your claim is settled.
 
Bailey Pottery Equipment is not responsible for freight carriers who do not arrive as promised. Carriers allow approximately 30 minutes to deliver your equipment. Recipient will be billed for any fees levied due to the driver being detained/delayed at the delivery address.

Rush Orders

NOTE: You must contact us by telephone if your order is to be shipped RUSH! “Rush” service may be requested so that your order ships: the same day if placed before 11:00 AM EST -or- the next business day if placed after 11:00 AM EST. A $15.00 per box Rush Charge will be added to all “Rush Orders” (*). Shipment of “Rush Orders” will be by UPS Ground Service unless otherwise requested: UPS Next Day Air, Second Day Air & 3-Day Select are available- Sales will gladly estimate these charges for you. Orders shipped by these methods are still subject to the $15.00 per box Rush Charge if they must ship the same day.

(*) Please Note: due to the extra time required to properly pack kiln shelves for UPS shipment, the RUSH charge for shelf orders is $5.00 per shelf. (Please call our Sales Staff @ (800) 431-6067 to calculate the total packing, shipping and Rush charges for your order.)
