Spectrum Underglazes

Spectrum 500 Series Underglazes are all lead-free, dinnerware safe & A/P non-toxic when covered with a clear glaze. Underglazes can be used at almost any temperature range and can be applies to bisque, greenware or raw clay. Two to three coats of underglaze are required for opaque, vibrant colors. The samples chown are fired at Cone 05. These Underglazes can be fired from low-temperature (cone 06/04) to high-temperature (cone9/10). Some color variation will occur at higher temperatures. Note different different clear coats & different thicknesses can affect the hue of each underglaze. Colors can be intermixed to create custom shades and thinned for translucent, water-color effects without fading away.
