Bailey Pottery has been in Kingston, NY since our beginning in 1976, and since then we have seen the ceramics and arts community continue to grow and flourish. Now in its seventh year, the Hudson Valley Pottery Tour contributes to this wonderful growth.
We caught up with Bryan Czibesz, one of the talented artists opening his studio this weekend, to get a preview of his space and chat about his process.
Byran's forms often begin as line drawings he then translates into the code read by his 3D printer. This allows him to begin the creative process using "as little digital as he can stand."
Bryan combines 3D printing and hand building techniques to create his unique and fascinating pieces. Here he has attached a pinched slab to the bottom of a 3D printed form to complete the piece.
