#BaileySummerColors
"The bright cheery colors on my planter remind me of summer. The color of the clay itself also reminds me of sand and the beach." @LizCohenCeramics used a Speckled Stoneware Clay and Mayco Stroke and Coat Glazes on the planter above.
Many of our talented customers created work inspired by summer days and shared them with us on social media using the hashtag #BaileySummerColors. Read on to see the vibrant works inspired by the longest, warmest days of the year. Keep on creating and keep on tagging your work so we can all see, learn, and get inspired by one another.
"This work reminds me of summer because one of my favorite activities is camping, whether it's with friends, family, or just me and my husband."
Bethany Hensley of @goodnaturedwares made the mug above with Porcelain Clay decorated in AMACO Velvet and LUG Underglazes, AMACO Potter's Choice Glazes, and Mayco Fundamentals Glazes.
"This form looks like a summer flower, the colors and the shape!"
Susan and Marita from @BerkshirePotters said the glazes on this bowl are AMACO PC-25 Textured Turquoise and Spectrum 1436 Kimchi on Standard 240 White Stoneware.
"Like many people, I associate lighthouses with summer. Something about these unique structures speaks of travel and adventure, even if you live somewhere close to the lighthouse."
@m.istceramics made this lighthouse using AMACO Velvet Underglazes, Mayco Underglazes, and a Zinc Free Clear Glaze.
"The color screams Summer to me. It is so fresh and clean. I love to use it on porcelain."
@LoraShelley posted these cat ring holders photo. They're glazed in Coyote Mint MBG-015.
"This mug was thrown with an old school travel mug in mind and it was the perfect companion on my latest 'travel'. I backpacked the dunes of Lake Michigan (which, in my opinion, is the ultimate summer activity in Michigan) with it clipped to the outside of my pack. It just so happens that it perfectly matches the color of the sand where I sat to enjoy my coffee each morning!"
@MollieMoonCeramics glazed this mug with Mayco Abalone SW-143.
There is something so wonderful about seeing glazes you are curious about in action. Check out what other people have created with glazes you have or are looking to inquire. It's a great way to get inspired!
