The Original DRD Series Manual Slab Rollers Introduced in 1978, Bailey's Original DRD Series is the finest slab roller built anywhere. The Original DRD slab rollers are commercial duty machines designed for professionals who want maximum load output, exacting accuracy, and trouble-free operation. Clay is rolled in one pass to the desired thickness. No other roller even comes close to this robust versatile design.
The Original DRD Series comes in two sizes: 30" and 40" wide. Each machine has two 4" diameter steel rollers mounted in heavy duty ball bearings. The 30" rollers are driven by a #40 chain and sprocket to insure maximum strength under heavy loads. The 34" dia round handle provides ample leverage when rolling slabs. The rollers are coated with an industrial epoxy abrasive to provide a positive non-slip traction. Slab thickness can be infinitely adjusted from 1/16" to 1- 3/4" using one adjustment knob for perfectly even slabs. A height scale provides quick reference and exact measurements.
This is a 30" Short Table with a feed side but no work area. The Short Table is designed to roll up to another work table so that slabs can be rolled through the machine onto the work table surface. This design is perfect for studios without room for another large table.
The Short Tables are 34" H and feature heavy duty steel frames and durable melamine counters. Please note: Melamine surfaces should not be saturated with water. Do not leave wet clay directly on the bare table surface for extended periods of time. If the counter becomes wet, dry it with a towel. Do not cut directly on the melamine surface or damage may occur.
Assembly is required.

34" Round Handle - The large 34" Diameter Round Handle provides ample leverage for easy rolling.
Massive 4" Diameter Rollers - Our largest rollers handle the most clay and provide maximum compression during slab formation.
Simultaneous Height Adjustment - Top roller adjusts from one side only. Rollers always remain parallel for consistently even slabs.
Chain and Sprocket Drive - Rollers are driven by a #40 chain and sprocket for maximum strength under heavy loads.
One-Pass Slab Rolling - Bailey's unique Bi-Level Table features a lower feed counter that increases the surface contact between the bottom roller and the clay canvas for better grip and compression. This combined with the massive 4" rollers allows you to roll up to 3" of soft wedgeable clay into a slab in one pass.
