The term “ribbon” refers to the fact that the cutting loop on this tool is made of a flattened metal ribbon with sharpened edges. Ribbon tools are used for cutting, shaping, trimming and hollowing both wheel-thrown and sculptural forms.
This unique tool consists of a polished hardwood modeling tool on one end and an 1/8" wide high-strength stainless steel ribbon on the other. This is an 9-3/4" long tool with a 3/4" wide loop. Suitable for medium to heavy cutting work.
