Cone 11 High Alumina Disc (Plate) and Tile Setters
Plate and tile setters provide the most efficient space-saving means of firing plates and tiles. They also save fuel by cutting down on unnecessary thermal mass created by using standard square refractories.

These English “high alumina” setters are made especially for Bailey in a material designed for Cone 11 range. They are of exceptional quality and stability at these temperatures. Some rotation may be necessary, depending on the ultimate firing range and the length of the average firing cycle.

The versatile detached Setter Posts allow the distance between Setters to vary depending on positioning: 1½” or 2” for the disc setters; ¾” or 1” for the tile setters. This allows you to customize each stack for maximum efficiency when firing plates or tiles of varying heights. In addition, damaged posts can be replaced easily and inexpensively; a whole setter is not lost when a post breaks. (If permanent placement is desired, the posts can be mortared in place.) All setter posts are ½” thick; (3) posts come with each setter.

Disc Setters are available in 3 sizes:

• 11-1/2” Dia. holds up to 10-1/4” Plate.

• 12-1/2” Dia. holds up to 11-1/4” Plate.

• 14-1/2” Dia. holds up to 13-1/4” Plate.

Tile Setters are available in 2 sizes:

• “A” measures 9” x 7” x 1/2” :
  holds (1) 6” x 6” tile.

• “B” measures 11 “ x 10” x 1/2”:
  holds (1) 8” x 8” or (4) 4” x 4” tiles.

A 10% packing charge applies to high alumina disc and tile setter orders shipped by truck (Minimum $15.00 / Maximum $40.00). Small quantities can ship UPS; packing charge for UPS shipments is $15.00 per box (maximum of 3 boxes for most sizes)

Stackable Tile Setters (Cone 6)
Durable cordierite Tile Setters designed for stacking one on top of the other. Two sizes available:

• Tile Setter #1 - Outside Dim.: 8” x 6-1/2” x 1-1/8” high. Inside Dim.: 7” x 6-1/2” x 3/4” (Holds (1) 6” x 6” Tile)

• Tile Setter #2 - Outside Dim.: 9-1/4” x 5-1/2” x 1-1/8” high. Inside Dim.: 9-1/4” x 4-3/4” x 3/4” (Holds (2) 4” x 4” Tiles)

Vertical / Horizontal Tile Setters
Save space and increase firing capacity with these stackable tile/plate setters. Designed for decal and overglaze firing, but may be fired as high as Cone 6 (*). Setters can be placed in the kiln horizontally or vertically to accommodate a variety of situations. Holds from one to seven plates or tiles. Sold in Pairs. Dimensions: 6-3/4" long x 1-1/4" wide; 1/2" space between teeth.

(*) Although these Setters can be fired to Cone 6 you must test your tiles to determine whether they will warp or sag in this style setter. Many clays become ‘pyroplastic’ at high temperatures and require full support underneath in order to remain flat.

Stacking Tile Holders
Clever design can accommodate any size square or rectangular tile. Corners are keyed to lock into each other when stacked for added stability (manufacturer recommends stacking no more than 6 layers high). Can be fired as high as Cone 6(*). Each corner measures 1-7/8” x 1-7/8” x 7/8” High and can hold tiles up to 1/4 “ thick.
