System 3 Power Drive Frame (without Barrel)

System 3 Power Drive Frame is designed for use with any System Barrel. The System 3 is powered by an air compressor (not included) and provides a constant uninterrupted flow of clay for the entire plunge of the barrel. Operated by a foot pedal, both hands are always free to control the form. This allows the operator the greatest amount of control in forming a shape. The air cylinder pivots up for fast easy reloading. This unit comes complete with pressure regulator, moisture trap, pressure gauge, and foot pedal.
Most extruding will require a setting on the Power Drive Extruder regulator of about 90 to 100 lbs of pressure to extrude forms through the dies. This means the actual compressor should have an auto "on/off" setting on it's regulator (built into the compressor) that supplies about 85 psi (when it goes on) to 125 psi (when it goes off). You do not want a compressor that comes on lower than 80 lbs pressure. You can have a supply that goes up to 150 psi.

You must choose a barrel to complete your extruding system. Each barrel is designed to cover a specific extrusion range:

The 4" Barrel will extrude small to medium forms- handles, coils & hollow tubes up to 2-1/2" square or 3" round.
The 5" Barrel will extrude medium size forms- 2"-3" square or round tubes.
The 9" Barrel will extrude medium to large forms- 2"-3" tubes (w/Die Adapter), 4"-8" tubes.
The Tile Barrel will extrude tiles up to 6" wide and narrow rectangular shapes.
The Tile Adapter expands the Tile Barrel to produce tiles from 6" to 14" wide and narrow rectangular shapes.

Mounting: The System 3 Power Drive Frame will mount to any structural wall, the Cutting/Removal Wall Bracket or the Cutting/Removal Stand.
