Makes a 6-8 Oz. goblet Use 1/4 - 1/2 lb. of clay 4" Tall x 3-7/8" Wide All dimensions above are approximate and can be adjusted to fit personal needs. See 'Tips/Safety'' for usage instructions.
1) Throw a cylinder on the wheel similar to the dimensions and weight listed. 2) With one hand inside the cylinder, press the rib gently into the outside wall. At the same time, apply gentle pressure outward with the inside hand directly opposite where the rib is in contact with the outside. 3) Slowly run your fingers up the cylinder, pressing outward until the clay conforms to the contour of the rib. Do not force the clay outward against the rib too quickly: draw your fingers up the cylinder a few times to change the contour of the cylinder gradually. 4) Once the desired contour is achieved, use one of the notches at the bottom of the rib to form a rim.
