Mayco Opaque Underglazes have been reformulated to enhance performance characteristics for a broader firing range and easy application. The color palette has been updated to include new brilliant reds and oranges, along with fashionable contemporary colors. Colors are intermixable to create your own custom palette. They can be applied to greenware or bisque. If applied to greenware, bisque-fire to shelf cone 04, then apply clear glaze and refire to the appropriate glaze temperature. If applied to bisque, clear glaze can be applied directly over the unfired Underglaze and then fired to the glaze temperature. Mayco Opaque Underglazes can be fired from Cone 06 up to Cone 10 with great results. (Some colors may change at the higher ranges: testing is recommended.) All Mayco Opaque Underglazes are rated AP Non-Toxic and Dinnerware Safe when covered with a Dinnerware Safe glaze. Fire from Cone 06 – Cone 10.
