Amaco’s O Series Opalescent Glazes may be used on any low fire clay but they develop their greatest opalescence and most interesting textures when applied over red clays. These glazes have a high gloss similar to mother-of-pearl. On textured ware, the glaze flows thin on raised areas and thick in incised areas, giving an added dimension to the surface.
