The economical Bailey SRT-18 Table Top Slab Roller Outfit is the perfect slab roller for the serious hobby potter. This machine is intended to offer professional features for potters who require a low volume of slabs. When used with this expectation, the machine will last a lifetime. (Professionals and schools intending to use a slab roller for demanding production should refer to our DRD/II and DRD Original Series rollers with more robust gears and bearings.)

Features: 

The rollers are 18" Wide and made of knurled aluminum. The knurling provides a non-skid surface to grab and project the canvas and clay through the machine. A 12" Hand Crank connects directly to the shaft of the bottom roller (direct drive). To operate the SRT-18 use plastic, easily-wedged clay to feed through the machine. The thickness of the finished slab (1/16 to 2") will determine the height of the feed clay. Because this is an economy direct drive machine, the leverage to roll the slab is supplied by the crank handle. You never want to pile the clay very high as it will require more effort to roll the slab. This is true of all direct drive machines with 2-1/2" rollers. 

Raised Table Counters- The SRT-18 includes a set of 18"W x 18"L raised counters that are locked into the slab roller frame on either side of the bottom roller. You can run the machine from right-to-left or left-to-right. With the raised counters installed the slab roller is 38" long. The SRT-18 with Counters can be placed conveniently on any sturdy work table to roll slabs, and removed effortlessly to use your table for other functions. 

Height Adjustment- Two independent height adjustment knobs are located on either side of the machine for setting the slab thickness. Each has a scale to insure even slabs.
