A very popular feature of the Bailey Quick Trims is that the round disc of the holder (15" D or 23.5" D) will immediately mount on any 10" wheel head. Perfect for classrooms and studios that have different wheel head diameters but the same 10" bat pin centers. The Bailey QT3 pops on to any wheel head instantly and is ready to go.
The newly engineered QT3 Base Holders are larger than any other trimming device in the industry. The QT3 holders provide extra holding security. The entire circumference of the QT3 Base Holder is surrounded by a layer of dense foam to hug the pot. The most used position is when the indented edge of the Base Holder faces the pot.
The QT3 Base Holder also has the great advantage of being able to be rotated 360 degrees. This opens up even more creative practical possibilities in how one can best secure a variety of unusual shapes. No other trim device can offer such a flexible approach!
The QT3 Base Holder is now the holder for 5 sizes of High Holders! You just rotate the Base Holder so the mount hole for the rod faces the pot, insert the rod, and add the foam High Holder to the top.
To secure a pot just takes seconds. The QT3 flexible positioning hold is fantastic. If you thrown lots of small bowls or cups of a similar diameter, you can actually pivot the Base Holder slightly to release the form, add the next pot, and rotate the Base Holders to secure it instantly.
If you throw pots that are the same basic diameter, just use a pencil to mark a concentric circle right on the white top of the Quick Trim. It's a simple way to perfectly reference production throwing.
