Bailey Spatula
The spatula is a very useful tool for smoothing and scraping. It is
possible to wet and screed a slab in one motion for a smooth, glossy
surface. These tools are also useful for applying slips, colored clays and
textures. In addition, the spatula can be used to remove clay from
throwing bats, work counters and wedging tables. Each spatula is made from
a tempered steel blade firmly set into a comfortable wooden handle.

Bailey Compass
The Bailey Compass is an
indispensable slab tool. Besides cutting solid circles, the Compass is
equipped to handle more than one cutter. This feature makes it possible to
cut several flanges in one motion. The cutters can be set to cut from 2
to 40 diameter circles. Each compass comes with 3 cutters: extra
cutters are available.

Bailey Slab Divider
The Slab Divider is another asset to the potter working with slabs. In one
stroke, this device can section the length of an entire slab in as many
divisions as desired. The cutters can be set instantly in any position:
each cutter moves independently to cut a variety of widths at once if
desired. 6 cutters come with each Slab Divider: additional cutters are
available. An incredible time saver! (Slab Divider may be used with any
Slab Roller)

Stainless Steel Tile
Cutters
These stainless cutters come in a
variety of sizes and shapes. Each cutter has a spring loaded
plunger/release button which pushes a release plate to eject the finished
clay tile. When you review sizes, note that a given size (i.e. 4 x 4)
represents the finished fired dimension of the tile based on a 12%
shrinkage.

Adjustable
Clay Cutters
A very useful tool
for the studio or classroom, these adjustable Clay Cutters are perfect for
cutting uniform slabs, tiles, extrusions and pugs. Functioning like a
cheese cutter, the horizontal pipe (seen directly above the clay)
slides up and down the vertical bars to adjust the distance between the
pipe and the cutting wire, once the desired thickness is determined the
thumb screws can be tightened to hold that dimension. Set this space for
the thickness you desire and pull through the clay to cut a uniformly
thick slab, pug or extrusion. The Small Clay Cutter has a handle for
increased control while the Large Clay Cutter has a roller to ease in the
cutting of larger slabs. Small Clay Cutter cuts up to 7-1/2 wide and
1/8 - 6 deep; Large Clay Cutter cuts up to 12 wide and 1/8 -
6 deep.

Wheel throwers and handbuilders find it quick and easy to make spouts,
feet and other decorative elements by wrapping a clay slab around either
tapered end. Once stiff, the resulting clay form can be altered and added
to a pot or sculpture. Made of solid maple, the Spout Maker measures 8
long, 3/4 thick at its widest point and tapers to 3/8 at each end.
