Smooth plastic low fire white body - good for classroom use.  Contains no talc.

NO TALC WHITE BODY WITH GROG C/06-04
Same as # 105NT with the addition of 5% fine grog to improve handbuilding properties.

RED EARTHENWARE CLAY C/06-2
A smooth, low fire plastic terra cotta clay body designed for the classroom and studio. It is a traditional Terra Cotta orange at Cone 06 and a deeper brick red at Cone 2.

RED EARTHENWARE W/GROG C/06-4
The controlled grog content of this low fire clay helps reduce warping and shrinking and produces a textured surface without reducing elasticity. Good for handbuilding or wheel work.

BROWN STONEWARE CLAY C/4-6
A plastic clay for wheel and modeling. The addition of granular manganese gives a speckled surface. The ideal temperature for developing best color tone is Cone 5. Good results may be experienced in reduction or oxidation.

BROOKLYN RED CLAY C/4-8
This clay was developed for potters who want a C/4 to C/8 body they can count on. It’s a red brick at C/4, reddish brown at C/6 and a deeper brown at C/8. Contains some sand (2.5%) and fine grog (4%).

NEW! HAZELNUT BROWN CLAY - C/6
A nice plastic clay for throwing and handbuilding.  At C/6 oxidation, it’s a warm brown color usually associated with reduction firing.   Reacts well with glazes.

BROWN STONEWARE CLAY C/4-6
Same as the 112 but with no manganese. A smooth clay ideal for throwing or slab work. Good color tone at C/4-6 in oxidation or reduction.

A very smooth, plastic throwing body.

PORCELAIN CLAY C/6
A superior porcelain with considerable strength and plasticity. An extremely throwable clay that is well-behaved under a glaze.

GROLLEG PORCELAIN C/6
A porcelain like the #257, very white, tight and translucent when thin, but formulated to mature at a lower temperature. Contains no ball clay.

NEW! SANDY BUFF CLAY C/6
A light firing stoneware which contains sand - good for tile and hand building. Can be thrown by potters who prefer a toothy body.

NEW! SCULPTURE CLAY C/2 - C/6
A heavily grogged body formulated for sculpture & tile. Off-White at C/2, Sand colored at C/6

BUFF CLAY C/9-10
A smooth, all-purpose stoneware clay with no grog for throwing and modeling. A light buff color at C/10 Oxidation and a darker warm buff with some gray in Reduction.

RED STONEWARE W/GROG C/10
A high fire red clay with medium grog and sand for surface texture and minimal warping and cracking. This clay is designed for large sculpture, slab and coil building. Can be thrown but is a little rough on the hands.

PORCELAIN CLAY C/7-9
An excellent white firing, dense, plastic porcelain body with a small addition of fine porcelain grog, giving it the wet strength throwing capabilities of high quality stoneware. Fires white in reduction or oxidation atmospheres.

WHITE STONEWARE BODY C/8-9
A close to white plastic stoneware body that throws well and keeps your glazes bright. Contains some fire clay but no grog.

STONEWARE CLAY C/10 Extra Moist
A good clay for hand building techniques and especially fine for throwing. The addition of coarse silica sand gives this clay the required properties for large pieces. Natural earth colorants give pleasing orange-browns at Cone 10 Reduction. Very good results have been reported in salt and wood firings.

STONEWARE CLAY C/10
A soft warm beige in oxidation, a rich grey brown in reduction. This clay throws beautifully, has exceptional strength and versatility and responds well to all techniques. Contains some fine grog. Recommended for student use.

WHITE STONEWARE BODY C/9
A very smooth white stoneware body that throws and builds as you want it to. Contains no fire clay or grog.

GROLLEG PORCELAIN C/8-10
A porcelain body with a parian-like quality. It’s white and tight and translucent when thin. Contains no ball clay.

STONEWARE CLAY C/10
A proven body that fires a warm gray-brown in Reduction. Similar to #153 but with richer color.

STONEWARE CLAY C/10
The textural feel and quality of this stoneware body is exceptional. Its color in Reduction is a rich, mottled orange brown. Contains medium grog and sand.

A versatile, plastic English kaolin body. It throws and takes glazes well, and can be used in reduction, wood, and salt firings. Translucent when thin; wide range of color/texture in long wood firings. Sample was woodfired without glaze.

Tom Turner's porcelain is extremely white and very plastic.  Excellent for throwing and very translucent.  Contains no ball clay or inorganic plasticizers.  #600 is completely vitreous at C/9.

Woodfire body formulated with Helmer kaolin. Very plastic throwing body, Excellent flashing results. Sample was woodfired without glaze.

WARM BROWN STONEWARE C/10
Stoneware body which contains sand. Formulated to be similar to #264. Rich mottled orange-brown in Reduction; more subdued in Oxidation.
