Talisman Production
Sieves
The “Talisman” production sieve
is a must for any production studio or classroom. Glazes are passed
through the screen almost as fast as they are poured into the sieve. As a
result of the efficient sieving action, you will find it possible to use
finer screen sizes.
How It Works: Select
one of the interchangeable screens and push it into position. These
screens have a rubber molded perimeter. To operate, the handle is rotated
to press the internal “brush cluster” against the screen The brush
cluster is made with nylon bristles impregnated into a plastic back. These
brushes will not absorb color and are easily cleaned. Glazes are passed
through instantly.
The Production Sieve comes
priced with one screen of your choice. Additional screens are ordered
separately. Shipping weight: 7 lbs.

Bailey
Test Sieves
Great for mixing small
quantities of glaze. These handy sieves have an impressive 3-1/4”
diameter screen area to filter the glaze. (Any smaller wouldn’t be
practical). The top measures 4-1/2” across. The bottom OD measures
3-7/16”. Available in 40, 60, 80 and 100-mesh. If you are sieving into a
small jar opening, use an inexpensive funnel as a transitional adapter.

Ball Mill
The Amaco Double Ball Mill pulverizes, grinds and mixes ceramic materials,
wet or dry. Complete with guard, ¼ h.p. motor and built-in motor switch,
this unit is safe, self-contained and easy to use. With a capacity up to
two one-gallon jars (3 half-gallon or 3 quart jars) the ball mill permits
easy production of studio batches and study of industrial techniques.
Rollers are rubber-covered for their entire 24” length, quiet, smooth
running. Special hard porcelain jar mills rotate smoothly on rollers,
providing even blending. Flint pebbles, with large grinding surfaces,
should be purchased in quantities of approximately 2 lbs. for each quart
jar. Overall dimensions are 29-1/2” long, 14” deep and 15” high.
Shipping Weight of Ball Mill only: 52 lbs.

Vacuum
Hand
What is it? The Vacuum Hand
TM
is a vacuum suction holder that makes it possible to pick up and
securely hold onto pot bottoms without having to use your finger grip.
A comfortable vacuum handle and a 10’ long reinforced vacuum line
attach to our (optional) portable vacuum pump or to the vacuum pump
from your de-airing pug mill.
How does it work?
With the appropriate vacuum pump operating, the Vacuum Hand TM
suction head is positioned on the center of the pot bottom where it
will take a firm hold. The operator then holds the pot over the glaze
container and dips the pot down to the desired level. The freshly
glazed pot is then righted and the vacuum is manually released. Comes
with the 2-1/2” Grip Head (rated to hold up to 10 lbs.). A 3-1/2”
grip is also available (rated to hold up to 30 lbs.). The Vacuum
Hand TM
is not for use on greenware.
Why do
I need one?
-
With
the Vacuum Hand TM
and careful glazing technique waxing pot bottoms can be
eliminated.
-
No
more cramped, aching fingers from gripping pot bottoms the old
way.
-
It’s
comfortable, convenient and easy to use.
