Dust Vacuums
A ceramic dust vacuum
should be in every ceramic studio or classroom. Prolonged
exposures to ceramic dusts can lead to very serious lung diseases
and related complications. Sweeping, or the use of a standard
style “shop” vacuum, will put the harmful dust right back into
the air you breathe! Once airborne, ultra fine dusts can stay
suspended in the air for several days before settling.

remove the dangerous sub-micron particles that are so harmful to
your health. The sophisticated triple filtration systems are
designed to contain particles as small as .3 microns

With proper care,
filters can last up to several years. There is no reason why you
can’t make your working environment a safe one.

WARNING!
Although some standard 4 ft. shop vacuums contain cloth
and paper filters - it is important to note that these basic
filters are intended for containing standard materials such as
wood dusts. These filters will not contain fine ceramic dusts
and should never be used in the pottery studio. |

About Suction Capabilities
It is important to note that multi filtered studio vacuums are designed
specifically for the containment of fine dusts. To contain sub-micron
dusts requires an extensive filtration system. Naturally, this
sophisticated filtration creates extra drag on the air flow, and so
decreases the suction potential of the vacuums. For this reason, the user
should not expect the same suction characteristics as a vacuum that has no
filters. The crucial function of these vacuums is to remove and contain
fine ceramic dusts that are hazardous to your health. This is an important
function that no “carpet” or “shop” style vacuum can perform.

Eliminator I HEPA Vacuum
The Eliminator 1 is a compact and robust HEPA vacuum cleaner. The
multi-stage filtration system features a HEPA filter that captures
99.97 percent of dust and debris, down to and including 0.3
microns. Although the standard model is configured for dry
collection, the vacuum can easily be converted into a wet/dry
vacuum by adding a float chamber device
The Eliminator will
ship in a single box that is 19" X 18" X 25" and 32
LBS. Accessories will add additional weight and boxes.

A large powerful motor with quiet operation
(only 68 dB), greatly increased filter area to prevent clogging,
greater airflow for maximum suction power, a manometer to indicate
when the filters need a shake down, an external shake-down mechanism
to free up the filter media for better suction, and a collection
chamber that is fast and easy to clean. The Floor Nozzle accessory is extremely practical for dust
control! The HEPA filters can be installed up stream or before the
motor with retention efficiency at 1.3 micron. |
