Medex Counter
A Medex panel (11" x 24") mounted to the top of the
frame. The Medex material is a wood laminate that is impervious to
deterioration from surface water. This counter is not
adjustable.

Shelf
Brackets
The adjustable Shelf Brackets provide a secure surface to place
wood shelving measuring 12" by up to 32" wide. The
advantage is that shelves can be readily removed. Use the brackets
to hold your ware boards. Board not included.

Counter
Our adjustable steel reinforced Standard Counter measures 12"

The
Bailey Retrofit Work Centers
In 1999, Bailey was the first wheel manufacturer to innovate the most
efficient ergonomic work centers for the potter’s wheel. The
work center we created put all the potters tools, bats, and clay right at
the potter’s fingertips. The idea was to reduce bending of the back
and and create the most logical work area for health and efficiency. It
works beautifully.
Our original counter systems
were designed exclusively for Bailey wheels which have frames with
built-in holders for the various counters. This saves Bailey
wheel owners the expense of bolt-on devices to add the counters.

(Optional) Adjustable Legs Sets
Our wheels have a standard
19" tolerance from the ground to the top of the wheel head. To
encourage correct posture for all the different sizes of potters,
Bailey Wheels have developed the best optional adjustable leg system
on the market. The short leg set (for heights 19"- 27") is
practical for variable "higher sit" positions. Sitting on
a higher stool, such as a drafting chair, is far healthier and more
comfortable on your back. Many potters are switching to the stand up
position to throw. The stand-up leg set is for variable from 29”
to 37”. Each leg set includes knobs and hardware. Great for
leveling your wheel!

The Height of the fixed leg model is 18". The
adjustable leg model offers a choice of heights 19"-
26" in 1" Increments. Both Models give you the
comfort of a cushioned seat that you will appreciate after
only a short time. The adjustable leg version can easily be
changed to a variety of heights to accommodate both children
and adults and can be tilted to help relieve lower back
strain. The tilt feature also helps to position your body
over the potter's wheel when throwing. The frame is painted
white and features a blue seat cushion. Great for use on

Seat
Sitting on a hard seat for
extended periods is very uncomfortable. The Gel Seat uses visco-elastic
gel and functional design to disperse pressure and greatly improve
your level of comfort. A center relieved groove eliminates soft
tissue pressure and suspends the tailbone (coccyx), which

Air Cushion
The air filled cushion is made of high density rubber. When placed
on a seat, pressure on the coccyx and lower hip is greatly reduced,
making for a high degree of comfort. As you lean forward, the air
cushion pivots with your body to improve the alignment of your spine
and your comfort. Both models are pre-inflated and ready to use.

PRO Wheel Head Extension
What do you do when you want to use a bat that is larger than will fit
into our counter-pan? Use the Wheel Head Extension. The Extension raises
the height of the wheel head only 1 inch, just enough to clear the top of
the counter-pan. The Head Extension couldn’t be simpler to use. It
already has 2 top pins installed on 10” centers (same as the wheel
head), while the underside has a round and slotted hole to mount
immediately to the aluminum head. There are two locking screws that are
pivoted 90 degrees once the Extension Head is in place. These lock the
extension so it can’t be pulled off when a large bat is removed. Adding
the Extension is faster than removing a traditional splash pan.

Series Trim
Shield
The Bailey Trim Shield is fantastic for containing all the trimmings
in the wheel. It raises the wall level on both the side and the rear
of the wheel. As trims fly off from centrifugal force, they fling
out and hit the shield instead of the floor! The Trim Shield, in
combination with the our exclusive Side Discharge feature, makes
cleaning up trims unbelievably easy. You don’t even have to get
out of your seat. Just push the trims out the discharge area into a
bucket below. Keeping trims off the floor saves dramatically on
clean up time and reduces dust. The Trim Shield just snaps into
place, and it can be positioned for either clockwise or
counter-clockwise trimming rotation.

Wood Bats
The Bailey Bats are made of
the highest quality 3/4” thick baltic birch plywood. We
use wood because it has the distinct advantage of having significant
absorbency, much like plaster. This helps balance out the
drying time in the center of freshly thrown pottery. Unlike plaster,
Baltic Bats are lightweight and much more durable. Larger bats are
more rigid than plastic or masonite, so there is no problem with
distortion from flexing. Using the highest grade of baltic plywood
insures an indefinite utility life without concern of warping or
splintering. By comparison, plaster bats are not very durable, and
plastic has no absorbency. Every bat comes predrilled for our 10”
pins. For material efficiency, each bat is approximately 1/4” less
than the listed diameter.

Grinding
Disks
An easy, economical way to smooth the bottoms of your
pots using a machine you already have - your wheel! 12” diameter
Silicon Carbide discs with a peel-off adhesive backing. Affix to
any 12” bat and attach to your wheelhead. All grinding is done
using the fastest wheel speed: a mask should be worn when
grinding. Available in 50-grit to remove material
fastest (including small glaze drips) and 80-grit for a
smooth finish. The discs can be used with or without water on the
grinding surface.
