The Tilemaker
The tilemaker is a unique new tool for making consistent, uniform 6 or
4.5 tiles. It was designed by Dan Gegen (formerly of the Wichita Center
for the Arts in Kansas) to allow for standard low-fire clay shrinkage rates.
No other tools are needed to consistently create tiles with even thickness
and size without the use of a slab roller or rolling pin. Use the 1/4
insert to create 1/2 thick tiles, the 1/2 insert for 3/8 thick
tiles of stack both to create 1/4 thick tiles.

Slap Stix
Textured paddles that are made out of hard plastic that resists clay
sticking when you slap it against firm clay in most situations (although a
little releasing agent like Pam cooking spray, WD-40, Murphys Oil Soap,
or liquid dish detergent on the paddle will help prevent wetter, stickier
clay bodies from sticking). The textured part of the paddle is approximately
9-1/2 x 2-3/4 and the overall length is 14 including the handle.
Each paddle features two unique texture patterns. Use them to accent both
thrown and handbuilt pieces. Try paddling the pot then stretching the clay
to deform and stretch the texture. Paddle at odd, overlapping angles in
selected areas. Fill your piece with texture, then scrape the texture smooth
in certain areas to create drama.

Ceramic mini press molds
These molds are made of Chinese Yixing clay, the best clay for fine details.
Make a ball of plastic clay (not too wet) and smooth it out. Place the clay
ball on the mold and press it from the middle toward the side. The clay
should be approximately 2 or 3 mm above the mold. Gently take the clay out
starting from the edges.

Groovy Tools
These premium, heavy gauge trim tools in the 200 series feature a true tool
steel loop that is hardened, tempered and cryogenically treated to create a
super steel blade. The loop is 1/4" wide and sharp on both sides.
Acetate handles have foam grips for added comfort. Each tool is
approximately 6-1/2". Tools can be resharpened for extra long life.
The Medium gauge, 300 series are
made of high carbon steel hardened and tempered to withstand abrasion from
clay. They are approximately 6-1/2" with acetate handles with foam
grips.
