FEATURES:
- PROTECTION RING
- A 2” ring of
solid brick (no element grooves) at
the top of each kiln that adds extra stacking space for tall
pieces. In addition, because the bricks are solid, this ring protects
the upper grooved bricks from damage during kiln
loading. If the bricks in the “Protection
Ring” are damaged, they are
easily replaced because no elements
or wiring are involved.
- 4-POSITION
SWITCHES - Blue Diamond uses
kiln switches with 4 Settings:
“OFF”, “LOW”, “MED”, and
“HI”. Each setting maintains a constant
power input until the switch is manually moved to the next position.
There is no “cycling” on & off (as
with Infinite Switches). This type of
switch lasts longer.

Blue Diamond’s TRU-MAT-TIC
Kilns
include all the
same STANDARD FEATURES as the MANUAL Models EXCEPT:
- Each 4-Position
Switch is replaced by a
Blue Diamond TRU-MAT-TIC Switch with 3 Indicator Lights.
To fire: Set the TRU-MAT-TIC
Switch to “START”
and the kiln fires: on
“LOW” for 1 HOUR; on
“MEDIUM” for 1 HOUR; on “HI” until the KILN
SITTER SHUTS
IT OFF.
The Indicator Lights
display the kiln setting as the firing progresses. The TMT Switch advances
automatically. NOTE: It is possible to extend the “LOW”: setting
for up to 3 HOURS by turning the TMT Switch to one of two marks preceding
the “START” position. Each mark adds an additional Hour to the “LOW”
setting time. The “MEDIUM” setting CANNOT be extended. The Kiln
Sitter/Timer is required to SHUT THE KILN OFF. DO NOT LEAVE A TMT KILN
UNATTENDED DURING FIRING. ALWAYS USE WITNESS CONES.

All Blue Diamond 208-Volt Kilns draw
the same amperage as their 240-Volt Models, therefore the
Kilowatt rating is slightly lower. As a result, the 208-V
Models fire a little slower than the 240-V models. |

Blue Diamond DOES NOT offer 3-Phase
wiring. It is possible to use 2 of the 3 legs of a 3-Ph
power supply to run the 1-Ph kilns. CONSULT YOUR ELECTRICIAN
to determine if your 3-phase supply will accept this type of
hook-up. |
