Bailey has a full 3-1/2” of combined brick and fiber board insulation. We add the extra insulation to the outside of the brick without sacrificing valuable stacking space. This combo-profile is not only a better insulator than 3” brick, it insures you get the extra insulation without reducing the size of your kiln chamber.

Did you know that manufacturers using 3” brick to add insulation to their walls actually reduce the interior diameter by 1 inch! That means you loose about 8% of your stacking space! It also makes it more difficult to lower shelves into position since you have less room for your fingers.

Our kilns are designed to draw the least amount of energy so you get inexpensive firings, extended element life, and less wear on the electronics and the frame. We all need to think about using less energy for the environment.

STANDARD FEATURES
The 1822-10 is equipped with a 2-Zone Controller and back up Dawson Kiln Sitter. This is the safest way to build an electric kiln: Controller with sitter back up. Other standard features include heavy duty elements, a no-slip lid support, 3-1/2” double wall insulation, a lid latch, a hinged control panel, and sheet metal under the base. The 1822-10 does not require an element in the floor due to it’s reduced size. Kilns are shipped with a power cord, but no plug. Direct wiring to a “disconnect” box is required. CSA approved.
