How
Many Ways Can You Underglaze...?
Minnesota Clay has
developed a unique line of underglaze products specifically
designed to work with traditional 2-dimensional decorating
techniques like no other underglaze can. Writing, drawing &
coloring, stamp decoration and design transfer are fast and
easy. |
The
resulting decoration is made in underglaze that is then fired on
for permanent, durable, even functional decoration on any 2- or
3-dimensional ceramic item. Especially popular with schools where
classes are short and familiar techniques allow more time for
creativity. |

Choxils
Choxils are a solid underglaze
drawing medium like a chalk with the density of a pencil. Choxils are the
diameter of a pencil and can be sharpened in most pencil sharpeners.
Choxils are applied to bisque ware. All colors are stable to Cone 8 except
Rose, which is stable to Cone 4. Colors shown were fired at Cone 7. The
Choxil Kit comes with each of the 10 different colors. Choxils are AP
(Non-Toxic).

Potter’s Pens
Potter's Pens feature a pressure-activated valve the “doses” underglaze ink onto bisqueware. Their unique contour shape is comfortable
to hold and the tips are removable for easy cleaning and refilling.
The pens make a 1 mm. line, but wider lines can be made by drawing more
slowly and increasing the pressure with which one holds the pen body.
Shake well before using and apply to bisqueware only. Cover with a
clear glaze if desired. Available in 16 colors: all A.P.
Non-Toxic and stable to C/9 (except Rose, which is
stable to C/4).

A true felt tip underglaze
marker that can be applied to greenware or bisque. Perfect
for drawing, coloring, outlining, lettering
and more. Available in both a wide line Mega Marker or a thin Fine
Line Marker. Stable to Cone 8. Please Note: Marker
decoration must be bisque-fired before a covering glaze is
applied.

Graffito Underglaze
Transfer Paper
The same principle as carbon paper but the image is transferred in
underglaze. Anything from photographic images to original drawings can be
transferred by tracing them over a sheet of Graffito. Available in 6
colors, all stable to Cone 8 (except Rose which is stable
to Cone 04). Sheets measure 9”x9” and come (6) to a package
(single color) or as a 6-color package (1 sheet of each color). Graffito
decorations may be covered with a clear glaze if desired.
