Laguna 'WC' Dry Glazes
This group of glazes is available dry only. They all fire best in Oxidation or Light Reduction and work well with oxide and stain additions. Lead Free and Dinnerware Safe when fired properly.
Laguna Dry Glaze Mixing Instructions for Cone 5 and Cone 10 Dry Glazes
The following instructions and measurement guidelines are intended only as a general reference. All Laguna C5 and C10 Dry Glazes are formulated for spraying or dipping. Refer to the table (at right) and:
  1. Measure water into a clean container
  2. Add dry glaze slowly into the water while mixing continuously
  3. Screen through an 80-100 mesh sieve twice*
  4. Check viscosity with a hydrometer. Readings should be:
    55 for dipping color glazes
    46-47 for dipping clear glazes
    60 for spraying glazes
  5. For best results allow glaze to sit for 24 hours and re-mix thoroughly before application.
 * Note: if glaze is too thin after screening, allow it to sit for 24 hours (as recommended) and skim a small amount of the clear water off the top before re-mixing. Re-sieve one time before application.
