I am a watercolorist new to pottery. Among the photos, I have
included one at my outdoor work area getting ready to try out the
new Bailey Mini Might Slab Roller. I have also included a photo of a
set of what I call my “Carp Pots” taken at a recent pottery
show. I stumbled upon Bailey Pottery when looking for supplies as a
“newbie” and have never looked back. I have had lots of
questions and the staff has been wonderful. When I add up the
personable and caring staff, the wide range of supplies and
equipment, excellent prices, and prompt delivery it seems to me I
have found a good home.
This prize means the world to me in terms of
getting set up as a new potter. I think I will indulge myself with
some of those very gorgeous glazes that I would not ordinarily be
able to buy as well as with more needed tools and equipment. I used

I was so excited to hear I had won a raffle at Bailey Ceramics!!! So
excited... as I have been in the process of building my home studio
for about a year so I am just acquiring all the supplies. I've
purchased my Shimpo VL-Whisper Wheel, Bailey Slab Roller and newly
Bailey Quick Trim (which I'm excited to use!) as well as glazes,
tools, from Bailey. I am a bargain shopper so I looked at all
suppliers, and Bailey is the best price with quality equipment! I

will be buying some new kiln shelves. Bailey’s high alumina
kiln shelves have been an essential part of my process. Before
I began using Bailey’s shelves in my kiln, I fought warped and
broken shelves on a weekly basis. The shelves in my kiln right
now have survived over 50 cone 11 firings with 5 hour soaks between
1900 and 2000 degrees. The crystalline glazing process is hard
on kilns and shelf’s so I try to get the most durable and reliable
I can find.”
